Ssambatyas Memorial Fund
A major component of AMF is a Trust Fund, known as the Hussein Ssembatya Memorial Fund. The Hussein Ssembatya Memorial Fund was set up in honor and memory of the late Hussein Ssembatya from Uganda (a brother and a great friend of many in Sweden and beyond) who died in Stockholm, on August 17, 2009.
Grants and awards from the Hussain Ssembatya Memorial Fund are distributed to qualified recipients by the Board of Directors of the Fund. The Board also manages all contributions to the Ssembatya memorial Fund; and the Board operates independently of the AMF Business Association.
You can apply for grants from Ssembatya's memorial fund in the following: Help with funeral costs in Sweden or in country of origin extra costs associated with the repatriation of the decease travel grants for the disabled. All applications are processed by the Board.

Contribution to the Fund
Contributions are accepted from private individuals, other associations and business establishments. Cash contributions to the Fund are deposited at the Swedbank into the specially designated account number
The primary objective of the Hussain Ssembatya Memorial Fund is to honour the memory of Mr Ssembatya and at the same time providing economic support to needed individuals as well as other organizations that work in partnership with the Hussain Ssembatya Memorial Fund.
The Board of Directors of the Hussain Ssembatya Memorial Fund is a non-profit making branch of the AMF, with a prime objective of collecting cash contributions under the aegis of the Board of Directors of the Ssembatya memorial fund.
The Board of Directors of the Ssembatya Memorial Fund administers all applications for grants and other assistance that are made to the Fund.
